In our increasingly fragmented culture, many of us sense the need for something more. So we work more, add more activities to our calendars, join more or new clubs, go more places, meet more people, buy more things, and yet there is still an inner hunger that remains unsatisfied. Everything we are doing to fill the void in our lives continues to leave us feeling empty, tired, and alone. It seems that in our attempts to fill our needs we end up longing for more.

There is one other option that perhaps you may have never considered, or an option that you have given up on. It’s called the church. And despite what you have experienced, heard, or read about the church, whether good or bad, the church does have the best chance of making a lasting difference in your life.  God has designed the church to be a place where our very best relationships will occur satisfying our deepest needs.

At New Providence Church we believe life’s most important relationship is with the Lord Jesus Christ. That conviction undergirds all that we do and satisfy’s our needs for  joy, peace and inner strength. The church also provides significant relationships with other Christians satisfying our needs for community and friendship.

New Providence Church is affiliated with a denomination known as Churches of God, General Conference. The denomination is an evangelical denomination with its ministry base in Findlay, Ohio. Approximately 400 congrega-tions are located throughout the United States and foreign countries, including Brazil, Bangladesh, the South West and Haiti.

Each Church of God values the cooperative ministry of the denomination but seeks to maintain it’s own personality as it reflects it’s community and history. At New Providence Church of God we are proud to be a part of the growing community in Southern Lancaster County.
